As part of SNC's IT organization, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between the stakeholders, all IT teams, and PMO by formulating business ideas into concrete requirements and communicating those requirements in standardized formats. The BSA is responsible for managing one to many projects and tasks in varying IT areas such as business application development, business application COTS implementations (cloud and on premise), application support, and systems administration. The ideal Candidate must have the ability to identify, analyze and drive problems to resolution, translating requirements into actionable project plans, completing all tasks within committed time-frames and effectively communicate project status to team members and management. The pace is exceptionally fast at SNC and our dynamic environment will see many new projects in the coming year. The BSA will need to be agile and flexible; as changes will be certain and frequent. We need someone who meets the qualifications to come in and hit the ground running. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * Requirements Gathering: Interviewing and gathering user requirements to translate into detailed documentation and project plans that meet deliverable deadlines. * Team facilitation: Facilitate all work teams including internal Business and IT users, as well as third party contractors. * Project Management: Interface with Business and IT users to scope projects, manage schedule, and oversee development/application and infrastructure configuration and implementation cycle from inception to completion. Control project using risk/issue logs and status reporting while facilitating teams to perform project tasks. * Data Analysis: Understand business application data to ensure accuracy, quality and opportunities to integrate between the systems.QA Testing: Develop and document system test plans during project requirements phase, and subsequently conduct and/or facilitate unit, system and end user application testing. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * 0-2+ years exp * Requires Bachelors in IT or related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education. * Application Integration is a must * Data analysis experience in mapping and design of applications. * Ability to work under minimal supervision, adheres to deadlines, and motivated to excel. * Strong individual contributor, but equally as strong team player that focuses and supports group results. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. * Functional knowledge of system and technology alternatives * Collaboration, negotiating and influencing skills with internal and business teams. * High level of integrity with significant attention to detail and quality * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail are essential * Strong aptitude to connect with business processes and quickly learn business operations in order to support and interact with business users and drive solutions as experience in large corporate environments. * Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, create data flow diagrams, case tool analysis, work & process flow diagrams, and address operation/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives. * Experience creating test cases and performing testing activities as needed * Strong knowledge of project planning and execution * Strong communication, documentation, presentation and facilitation skills. * Note: Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance may be required.
