Position Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all camper, staff and VIP transportation needs. This includes following all safety and DMV regulations, maintaining clean and fueled vehicle fleet, training new drivers, assigning drivers to airport pick-ups and drop-offs, and assigning other routine or emergency trips as needed. The Transportation Coordinator will work closely with the Housing Manager & Camp Office to understand the weekly transportation needs of camp as well as the available drivers. This person is also responsible for ensuring the overall well-being of staff and campers while in any company vehicle. Transportation Coordinator must be at least 25 years old and have a clean driving record. Expenses need to be monitored and kept within budget guidelines.
All camp employees are role models to our campers and should be prepared to represent the Woodward brand to the highest standard.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate weekly airport transportation needs for campers, staff, and visiting professionals
* Coordinate emergency trips as needed
* Update and enforce the Company Driving Policy
* Ensure all staff and guests follow the rules and regulations within the Driving Policy
* Organize daily and weekly vehicle inspections
* Arrange for all repair and maintenance of vehicles through the Vehicle Maintenance department and ensure repairs are taken care of in a timely manner
* Hire, train, and supervise any drivers on staff including schedules and payroll
* Clean vehicles regularly
* Uphold the highest standard of professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times
* Behave in a manner appropriate to our youngest campers (7 years old)
* Work with homesick campers
* Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
* Honest and has the highest integrity
* Live on camp grounds in assigned housing and adhere to all camp rules
* Follows all established policies and procedures
* Sets the example for others and is above reproach
* Communicate professionally and discreetly
* Can handle fast paced, potentially high pressure environment
* Flexible with hours and days of work; can work any hours of the day, any days of the week
* Organizes tasks and prioritizes personal time and work to have a good balance

* Must be over age 25
* Background and DMV check
Certification & Education Requirements:
* Driver's License required
* Clean driving record required
* Experience driving vans, SUVs and other vehicles with children preferred
* CPR and first aid certification required
* Camp experience preferred
