Job Description UNR Family Medical Center is currently accepting applications for a Medical Assistant II position within the Family Medicine department. The main responsibilities are to assist the professional healthcare provider with the administration of direct and indirect patient care. Performs basic medical assisting procedures necessary in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Answer phones, room patients, chart detail, administer injections and immunizations, patient education. This position requires excellent customer and patient service skills require knowledge of medical terminology and OSHA. Must be organized with a great attention to detail. National MA Certification preferred or able to obtain within 90 days REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and preferred with 1-year experience; or 5 years related experience.
