In this role the occupational therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and providing high-quality skilled care to patients requiring occupational therapy services as ordered by a physician. The OT will help improve function, mobility and help patients become as active and independent as their condition will allow. Responsibilities: Provides occupational therapy and related services for patients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy, and with the organization's guidelines. Provides quality OT including: Evaluation of patients, development of initial and ongoing treatment and discharge plan, supervision of assistance and aides, and participates in case management. Requirements: Provide occupational therapy care that complies with organization's best practices, standards, policies and procedures. Comply with both federal and state guidelines, including all licensing requirements.
